2 Song 36 Note Carved Wood Reuge Music Box Swiss ChestWe are always on the lookout for nice vintage musci boxes and this is one of the best we have seen in a long time. This beautiful old box measures approx. 8â by 4 â½â and about 4 â¾â high. The lid is adorned with german style craved flowers in high relief and the wood box boasts serpentine sides. Inside is linde with pink satin with a deep button tufted bottom. The bottom was removed to inspect the musical movement. It is a reuge 36 note movement that plyas 2 songs. It plays well and has a lovely sound, although there is some light background âhummingâ. The bottom of the obx has a very old partial paper label. The only parts i can amke out are opera, and underneath. The wood box itself is in excellent condition. The interior is also very good with only some slight soiling to the satin as shown in pics. Please view all pictuers and take advantage of the zoom feature. Packing is done with teh upmost care using clean, sturdy boxes and ample cushioningânever newspaper!
