Antique Music BoxAntique ten song music box. I have left it the way it was brought to me other than replacing two screws on the lid hinge, one was missing and previous owner had tried to get the other one out thus the song label getting torn off. No glue or tape was applied to the label in hopes maybe it can be properly restored. This boxes plays and changes all ten songs (really neat song list) without any problems i played all the song twice. The wood shows normal wear for the age. A refinish job would maek this an unbelievable looking piece. Looks like really nice wood under the old finish. All the mechanics seem to work good. This picee has been left all orginal (other than the screws mention) down to the dirt (i wiped the dirt off the glass and dust off the outside only) in hopes the new owner would appreciate seeing what an all orginal piece looks like, it really has a lot of character, this is the first music box i have had thus i know very little about them. The maker and im not fully sure, thus i will let you id the maker. And make your own judgement as to the condition of this item. I have stated what that i know about it. |
