Antique Victorian German Kalliope Music Box W 11 Discs Tiger Maple CaseAntique ivctorian german kalliope music box w/ 11 discs tiger maple case! A beautiful tiger maple case with line inlay german kalliope music box. Original litohgraph in the lid. Made in leipzig, germany in the 1880's (the discs are marked kalliope leipzig, germany) the music box measures 11 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 6. This music box features a zither attachment which is used to alter the tone of hte music. The zither is marked timbro variant. The discs measure 9 1/8 dia. The music box is top wound with a key as shown. The music box plays excellent and has a nice tone. The feet are a little worn and a rear foot is a replacement. The music disc numbers #200, 378, 221, 314, 176, 6, 1082, 639, 178, 390, and one i can't read a number or title. This is a really beautiful music box! |
