Columbia Mandoline Music Box Ca 1894 OutstandingHere is a gorgeous american made columbia mandolin music box patented 1894 and most likely made between then and the turn of the century. It si 100% original finish inside and out and has the original glass top over the movement. The movement works perefctly and has been professionally cleaned and adjusted. The dampers are all completely perfect and there is no distortion whatsoever when playing! This movement has twelve tunes one of which is the sousa march used as the theme from monty python's flying circus! None of the comb teeth have been brokne or in any way damaged, neither has the cobb.
Speed is regulated by means of a governor control, like swiss models. The tune indictor is nearly the type uesd by jacot.
Muisc box is a good size, measuring 28 inches long by 11 inches wide by 8 inches high. It is missing only the tune card inside. The original crank and case eky are present and included, of course. I haven't had as nice an oak music box as this one in many, many years, don't miss it!
