Mermod Freres Swiss Cylinder Music Box 12 Song FrenchI believe this music box could be by mermod freres. This item comes to you from a non-smoking home and appears to be in great over all condition. The entire item appears to be all original, with minor wear to the wood due to its age as well as some little pieces of missing inlay. The music box measures approximately 23(l) x 10(w) x 7(h) and weighs about 30 lbs. It plays 12 songs or as its labeled no the play list 10/2 airs. The writing on the list appears to be all original as well with what appears to be the songs, and maybe the composer to the immediate left. On the bottom of the list it has written modele deposethe music box winds smoothly and effortlessly all of the songs sound clean and beautiful. The stop switch works when the currnet song stops playing the cylinder stops and will not continue.
Repeat switch works as well. Total play time is 12 minutes. I'm happy to try to provide any further information that i can. Please note that there are 52 teeth on the comb and none are broken or appear to have been replaced. |
