Swiss Antique Cylinder Music Box 10 Airs No Reserve Here is a nice old swiss cylinder music box. This music box has been handed down throuhg my family. Once owned by my grandmother. Our family enjoyed the music over the years and played it often. It has had plenty of use.
To this day it still playes well and the sound is clear. I will describe to the best of my knowledge features and or any small problems. The box size 20 inches long 7 inches high and 9 inches deep. It weights over 25 pounds. hTe wood is mahogony and some grain painted. The top of the box has a medalion of musical instruments, flute, mandolin and horn (all hand inlaid) around the top of the box is 3 hand inlaid bands of wood.Very little scratches, no detns and in great shape, the bottom is of old wide board. The insides it looks like it si a 10 air player as shown on the 1 through 10 metal marker. The crank works well and the playing is working well. It does play different songs but hte arrow on the music number needs tightening. There is no play card, i just know the music sounds great. All hinges are original and also teh glass cover. All teeth aer in tack. There is two levers on the right side but not sure what they do. Should you have any questions feel free to ask and i will do my best to give you an honest answer.
